Last night I read the Kite Runner for the book group that I will be leading in the cafe tonight. Actually in a few minutes. The story is amazing. I kind of feel like I have joined the rest of American society by finally reading it. I read Hosseini's second novel and loved it. A Thousand Splendid Suns focuses on the experience of being a woman in Afghanistan, while The Kite Runner focused on being a male in Afghanistan and the pressures that were associated with it. I highly encourage anyone that hasn't read either one of them to read both!
